Prickly Pears

Take note that Prickly Pears have a delightful flavor however, they are also loaded with edible yet very hard seeds. Grind the seeds into the smoothie by washing the prickly pear, removing the hard ends, cutting in half, and placing in the blender container with one of the prepared apples and one or two of the peeled bananas (see next paragraph below). Cover the container then operate the blender at high speed until the prickly pear seeds have been thoroughly ground.

Cut the Apples into quarters then remove the core and stem before placing into the sections into the blender. Peel the Navel Oranges or Clementines then add into the blender followed by the peeled Bananas and Flax Seeds.

Add the ice then blend on High until the fruit and ice are thoroughly blended into the smoothie (about 1-minute). Enjoy served in a tall glass with a straw.
