With only three weeks left before Christmas, it’s good news that the 2018 Cherry season is well underway and the quality of our Cherries is excellent!

It’s Berry time with berry delicious Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries and Raspberries from which to choose. Combine your selection of berries and serve with Mangoes for a delectable treat or get creative with a summer berry pudding.

Peaches and Nectarines are renowned for their juicy, succulent flesh and fragrant aroma hence, they are a popular choice for the festive season. Both yellow and white varieties of the stone fruit are plentiful with the quality, simply outstanding!

For all the Plum lovers out there, we can advise that Early Queen, Red Gems and Wilson and the first of the blood plums are now available

New season grapes are likewise available with the main varieties of Menindee and Flame Seedless being plump and delectably sweet. Grapes provide a good source of dietary fibre and are low in kilojoules

Zucchini are a choice buy this week. At Fred’s we have both the Black and Lebanese varieties available. Try slicing Zucchini in half lengthwise, score then brush with a little olive oil before placing them on the BBQ or grill plate. Cook, turning once until tender
