Market Update 27th November 2012

With the hot weather having hit Sydney with a vengeance this week and with the availability of Seedless Watermelon, customers will be able to provide their families with some delicious mouth-watering relief.

With current good prices, watermelon is the perfect accompaniment to a weekend family BBQ.

Berries are well priced in the markets and of good quality this week with Blueberries, Boysenberries and Raspberries making a delicious mix for after dinner desserts.

Mangoes head the list of stone fruit with ample supplies coming in this week, with the taste and quality of Katherine Mangoes now at their best, being second to none.

Peach prices have fallen dramatically with the white varieties along with the Yellow Nectarines, being very sweet and good eating.

Bananas are also good-eating as are the Local Grapes.

Customers can expect only the best this year with the Western Australian Avocado, although a smaller variety, tasting absolutely delicious while making a great addition to a fresh tossed salad.

There are lots of Tomatoes around this week, also Broccoli, Zucchini and Cauliflower.

Capsicum is good, Beans are of good quality and the Herbs and Leafy Vegies are generally of sound quality.
