Queensland Strawberries are plentiful, loaded with Vitamin C and delicious for Breakfast or as a dessert. Camerosa, Festival and Ruby Gem varieties are loaded with flavour and a great source of vitamin C 

Sweet-eating Blueberries are a nice change at this time of year. A great price at Fred’s One Stop 

Mandarins are sweet, juicy and a choice buy! 

Tangelos have a tangy flavour and a fragrant aroma. Use Tangelo juice and flesh in recipes as an alternative to oranges in winter. Team tangelos with baby spinach leaves and walnuts in a salad 

Use tangy Lemons to make luscious desserts or combine the zest of Lemons with crushed garlic, parsley and olive oil to make a super tasty Grematola to drizzle or soup or slow-roasted lamb shanks 

Kiwifruit is plentiful supply and prices are low. Kiwifruit adds colour to winter fruit salads yet when scooped out the flesh with a spoon, they make and ideal snack

A top year for Navel Oranges with the fruit being sweet, juicy and plentiful. Juicy and fragrant Blood Oranges from Leeton have good colour. Enjoy them segmented or juiced 

5-kilo bags for potatoes are a top buy this week. Desiree Potatoes with their pink skin and pastel yellow flesh are particularly suited to mashing, roasting and making gnocchi. Brushed potatoes are mainly the Coliban and Sequoia varieties 

Fennel is top value. Try pan-frying slices of Baby Fennel in oil and garlic until tender. Toss through cooked spaghetti with chopped fennel leaves and toasted pine nuts with grape tomatoes. Yummo! 

Children enjoy the naturally sweet flavour of Kumara. Use roasted Kumara as a pizza topping or add to a Risotto. Choose firm, medium-sized Kumara with undamaged skin. Store in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place 

Toss thinly sliced Brussels Sprouts and Carrots in a hot wok with a little oil and sliced bacon until just tender, toss through noodles and soy sauce and serve
