Step 1 – Wash, hull and halve strawberries. Place, cut-side down, on a clean work surface. Make two slits in the pointy end of each strawberry half. Insert 1 currant into each slit to make eyes. Cut six 6cm-long strips of licorice strap to make tails. Cut a slit in the back of each strawberry half. Insert 1 licorice strip into each. Cut two slits at the top of each strawberry half, above the currants. Insert a piece of flaked almond into each slit to make ears. Serve with Swiss cheese, if desired.
