KNEADING BREAD

Here`s a quick video on kneading bread. In this video we show the kneading of the bread and the finished product. See our kneading bread recipe below.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 x cups of plain flour
  • 3/4 x cup of warm water
  • 1 x teaspoon dry yeast
  • 1 x tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 x teaspoon of salt
  • 1 x tablespoon dry oregano or italian herbs
  • 1/2 bread loaf size tin: heavy based for baking

METHOD:

  • – preheat oven to 170 – 180 degrees
  • – mix yeast in water and stir
  • – place all dry ingredients and olive oil into bowl/mixer
  • – then add enough yeast and water mixture forming a dough
  • – remove from bowl and place on bench and knead for approx 10 minutes
  • – after kneading, grease baking/bread tin and place dough inside allowing to rise
  • – when dough has risen to correct height (top or the tin or there of) place in oven
  • – bake till golden brown , check along the way to see if bread is cooked
  • – placing a skewer in loaf, when skewer comes out clean and dry the bread is cooked.
  • – allow to cool before cutting
